Reclaim Your Smile Confidence

While some people dismiss missing teeth as a cosmetic problem, tooth loss goes beyond simple aesthetics or being unable to bite into a crisp apple. In addition to shifting adjacent teeth, bone loss, facial changes, speech issues, and food limitations, tooth loss can diminish your self-esteem and even lead to anxiety and depression.

The good news is you don’t have to struggle with the troubling tolls of tooth loss when affordable dental implants in Hughson, CA, from the skilled Hughson Family Dentistry team, can resolve these issues and more!

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant comprises a biocompatible titanium post, connecting abutment, and crown. After the post fuses with your underlying jawbone, the components work together to replicate the function and aesthetics of a natural tooth. Dental implants offer extraordinary stability, versatility, longevity, and durability and can replace a missing tooth, a few, or all!

Single Dental Implants

If you have a missing tooth anywhere in your mouth, a dental implant can restore function and beauty to your smile. A dental implant can prevent bone loss in the area of the lost tooth, ultimately preventing adverse effects on oral health and overall well-being. In some cases, bone grafting or a sinus lift may be required to ensure adequate bone density and volume before receiving dental implants in Hughson, CA.

Dental Bridges

Traditional bridges rely on adjacent natural teeth to support a false tooth in the middle. With an implant-supported bridge, titanium posts are surgically placed in your jawbone, eliminating the need to file down and crown healthy teeth. Compared to traditional bridges, this restoration lessens the risk of gum and bone recession.

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures only require a select number of precisely placed implants rather than a dental implant for each missing tooth. They can be designed as a removable overdenture with several attachments or a fixed prosthetic. This type of denture provides enhanced stability and security, eliminating common issues associated with traditional dentures, such as ongoing bone loss, messy adhesives, gum irritation, and food limitations.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

If you’re missing most teeth, full mouth dental implants in Hughson, CA, offer durability and aesthetic appeal. After full mouth dental implants integrate with your jaw bone, they help preserve bone health and keep your natural smile intact. With a minimum of four strategically placed dental implants per arch, life-changing full mouth dental implants look, feel, and function like the real thing!

Are You A Candidate For Dental Implants?

The Dental Implants Process

Dr. Muhammad Randhawa. having a consultation with a patient
1

Initial Consultation

The first step is a comprehensive exam and diagnostic imaging at Hughson Family Dentistry to determine the condition of your teeth and underlying structures. We’ll also discuss if you have inadequate bone to support dental implants and/or need failing teeth extracted. After your consultation, we will present recommendations, including treatment steps, the timeframe, and estimated costs.

Dental Implants Procedure

Specialized software and scanning technology are used to make a virtual map of your jawbone and pinpoint the ideal position for our Neodent® dental implants. After numbing the site(s), small holes are made in the gum tissue to access your jawbone, small titanium implant posts are placed into the bone, and the tissue is sutured closed.

It’s natural to feel some discomfort and swelling following your dental implant procedure, but this can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers or a pain medication prescription if you need it.

Healing and Final Restorations

Over the next 4-6 months, the bone surrounding your implant(s) continues to grow, resulting in full integration of the dental implants. We will schedule periodic follow-up visits to ensure the process progresses without complications during this time.

Once healing and fusion are complete, you’ll be fitted with a customized permanent crown, bridge, denture, or full mouth prosthesis meticulously fabricated from dental-grade porcelain or zirconia.
